League Overview
Welcome to the BFME league...

League Rules
Rule # 1
Your clan can consist of just one member (you) or up to the maximum amount allowed.
Rule # 2 Your clan may play as many games per day as they desire. However, you can only play 10 matches per day against another specific clan. Any one warrior can not report consecutive matches without at least 1 minute having elapsed since the first report. (Temporarily ignored)
Rule # 3 Any game can be a CW match from One on One to Three on One matches. The oddly manned matches are to handicap better clans and entice lesser skilled clans to play.
Rule # 4 Clans which accumulate more than five ARs will find the penalty increased to either 200 points or 2% of their score, whichever is larger. After that time, if they still don't get the message, clans are subject at any time, to getting one final warning. When that warning is issued, further ARs will result in suspensions.
Rule # 5 After 21 days of inactivity, warriors are removed unless they have registered 100 matches or won an individual title.
Rule # 6 All CLAN WARS ADMIN's decisions are final, please don't ask for any decision to be over ruled.
Rule # 7 (You may be a member of different clans, but those clans may never play each other during the length of an existing tournament. Doing so risks violations which causes point penalties for all clans concerned.  These penalties can consist of permanent BANs and points being lost, to name a few.

Also refer to rule #10.)
- Ignored at the moment. Have a look at Rule # 17.
Rule # 8 Clan match losses must be reported within one hour or you risk having an Auto-Report filed against you. Auto-Reports penalize the losing clan 100 points for failing to report the loss themselves, and add a Dispute to the clan's reputation.
Rule # 9
All clan members competing in a CW match must use an in game name identical to that of their name on clan roster. If a Quickmatch is played and both players are wearing their clan tags and roster names, the game is a CLAN WARS League match and should be reported accordingly.

* - Suggested method is to create the EA Games name and then register said name as your CW name.  Please DO NOT forget the clan tag.
Rule # 10
(If you switch clans you must make your old and new BOSSES aware of the situation. Your new clan can not play your old clan for the entire length of the tournament. Doing so will result in a violation and all clans involved will be subject to punishment. This includes games played before the warrior switched clans - the rule is designed to prevent players "feeding" wins to a clan before they join.

Also refer to Rule #7.)
- Ignored at the moment. Have a look at Rule # 17.
Rule # 11 You are required to save all your clan game replays for the current month, wins and losses alike.  It is reccomended that you save them for at least a week into the next month.
Rule # 12 Clan members represent their entire clan on all CLAN WARS forums and leagues. If a member of your clan engages in any prohibited behaviour (improper conduct on the forums or cheating within a league match) your clan will be penalized.
Rule # 13
To count as a valid CW match, all players must construct at least one building. Disconnecting or voluntarily quitting the game before this landmark will not constitute a loss or dispute.
During 2 vs 2's all players per team must build at least one structure for the match to count. Once contact has been made with the opposing team, the match will be counted as normal. This is to discourage players from quitting the game after seeing that it is a mirror, or a match-up that is unfavorable.
Rule # 14
If you or a player on your team has a bugged structure (a building that is constructed immediately with no build-time and has a blue health bar instead of green), you have to demolish it immediately or you will lose the game if it is getting AM'ed, no matter how clearly you won.

If the building is attached to your units, you should tell your opponents, quit, report and AM the game or you risk getting AR'ed. If all participants agree to play on, keep in mind, that you still can get AM'ed for abusing a bug, so only play on if you trust your opponents.

If one of the above bugs happen early in the game (first two buildings), all players have to quit and the game has to be rehosted. The same Match Up does not have to be played.

Any kind of abusing bugs will lead to a supsension for the rest of the tournament.
Rule # 15
Please note that not reporting factions carries a 25 point penalty per faction not reported or reported incorrectly.
Rule # 16
Each member needs to register on an own account. Account sharing and creating warrior names for other players is strictly forbidden. Depending on circumstances, ignoring this rule will lead to suspensions for at least the rest of the tournament or permanent bans.
Rule # 17
If you want to switch a clan you can do it once a month. Your old and your new clan are allowed to play versus each other, as long as you left the roster of your old clan, but...

...if you stay in both, your clans are not allowed to play each other untill you leave one of them again. Ignoring this rule will lead to removing wins and points for both clans and a warning for both, the player and the clans. Continued playing between both clans will lead to a suspension for the rest of the tournament for either the player or the whole clan(s).

After your 2nd switch there won't be any way that your 3rd clan is allowed to play your 1st or 2nd one. Ofcourse you still can switch as much as you want after, but playing your old clans will be a violation.
Rule # 18 Abusing "S-bug" on heroes as Lurtz, Legolas, Saruman and Aragorn is forbidden and its use to save hero from unevitable death will result in game being void if the one player using it wins.

League FAQ
Question: How do I invite people to join my clan and how do I know if they have accepted or declined?

Answer: Only clan bosses can invite other league members to join a clan. In the "CLAN ROSTER" Menu option in "Clan Headquarters" you will find the option to invite people to join your ranks. An invite will ultimately either be accepted, declined or ignored. The invited player will receive a message in his inbox that he/she has been invited to join your clan. If the invitation is accepted or declined a notice is posted on your clan event calendar and the boss who posted the invitation will receive a private message in his/her inbox telling him the invitation was accepted or declined along with a reason - if the invitee responds with one. If the invitation is ignored it will stay posted in "clanroster" with a length of time in days that it has been ignored. You can choose to withdraw the invitation at any time or leave it offered as long as you choose.
Question: Does my account or clan ever get removed?

Answer: After 21 days of inactivity your account or your clan will get removed. Check support for current league settings (days inactivity until deletion, roster size limits, max invites permitted, max games per day vs a clan, etc...). If the clan you are in gets removed but your account satisfies inactivity levels your account will stay intact, your clan status will move to "Independent". If you or your clan have won a championship then you will never be removed. Sometimes other criteria will assume you or your clan immortality, typically a certain amount of wins or game played, check with the league admin for that info.
Question: What happens if my opponent doesn't report his loss?

Answer: If your opponent doesn't report after one hour has passed, you can file an Auto Report. To do this, log in to the league and click "MessageBoard". Start a thread in the "Non Reported Games" section and attachthe replay to the thread. The admin will then add the match to your clan and penalise your opponent for failing to report his loss.

After the end of a month the points for an Auto Report become very difficult to calculate so you should avoid Auto Reporting at the start of a month for a previous month's game if at all possible. The points you get awarded for the win will be a best guess of the points you should have and may not be accurate.
Question: How can I play a game that won't count on the ladder?

Answer: All games played with your clan tag, including QuickMatches, are considered Clan Wars matches if your opponent is also wearing a clantag. If you want to play a ffg, simply change your nickname. Games played when you are not wearing your clan tag, and/or not playing on a name matching your warrior name, cannot be filed as AR's against you.
Question: What to do in case of a DC?

Answer: If you disconnect, you have to report, no matter if you were winning or losing. If you think you were about to win, you can AM your game and the ClanWars-Admins will decide if the result gets changed.

If your partner disconnects in 2v2, it's up to you, if you want to keep on playing or not. If you decide not to go on, you have to report, but you can AM your game and the ClanWars-Admins will decide if the game was undecided and maybe void it.
Question: How can I know if I am making a good choice of recruiting a player?

Answer: Have the person you want to recruit make his own clan, and play for aday or two. Then you need do two things. First, check the violations area to see if he's sharing with anyone. Then second, e-mail the Admin and ask him to check out the player you are recruiting. Since you know what clan he made, the Admin can check his IP, e-mail, etc. and lookfor a match against anyone who is banned.
Question: I forgot my password, how can I retrieve it?

Answer:
Click the link below to re-send your account password to you. If that doesn't work, e-mail the league admin from the e-mail address you used to create your account, and state which account you need the password to.

Point System Explanation
ELO pt. system (modified)
The ELO pt. system that is used here, is based on the original ELO pt. system (Link here) but is somewhat modified in how point losses are handled and it is scaled in other ways as well, explained below.
In this system points for a victory are limited to a set value (called the K - value). For example K might be 100 for a 1v1 match or 150 for a 2v2 match, etc... That number is set in the control panel ('League Settings -> League Options') and scales accordingly based on match size, by 33% for each significant jump in a match size.
100% of the K value is only awarded for matches where the opponents are very far away in rank and the underdog wins. For example, if there are 100 clans in the league and #1 plays #100, the full K value will be awarded if the #100 ranked clan wins. If #1 wins only a very small percentage of K is available. If clans are very close in rank, for instance #1 plays #2, roughly 50% of K is avaliable. As ranks separate and the expected, higher ranked clan wins, the K value shrinks further away from it stated value, and conversely as the underdog or lower ranked clan wins K grows close to it's full value. The variable that describes this is referred to as E. When clan #100 beats #1, E might be .99 and vice versa E might be .01
This system is in place for both warriors and clans. K never reaches 100% until the tournament draws to a close. It starts out automatically devalued at the beginning of each tournament and grows closer to 100% as the tournament continues. To re-iterate with an example, K might be set to 100 pts in the control panel. And 100% of K may be awarded when a very low ranked clan beats a high ranked clan, but even while K = 100 in this instance, at the beginning of each tournament it is devalued automatically back to 1/2 of that. If the exact same match was played the last day of the tournament 100% of K would be awarded. As the tournament moves toward it's conclusion K becomes closer to be worth it's full value - this is called the intensification period.
Point losses are relegated to clans or warriors only, who fall into the Power Range and bonuses are applied to clans or warriors who win against clans or warriors in the power win range. Point losses are lower as clans fall lower into the range and are not applied at all when clans or warriors fall out of that range.
The power win range is set in the 'League Options' menu.
ELO point system applies to both clans and warriors. During warrior point calculations the average rank of the total warriors involved is used for the point calculation.
Two other factors influence the ELO pts awarded. They are called O and W. O is the offset that devalues the points as same clans play themselves in the same day. So if clan A plays clan B 10 times in one day, each game is worth less. W is the variable that defines the intensification period, as the tournament gets closer to ending W grows closer to 1.
In the end ELO pts are calculated as such = K x E x W x O
K - K value (explained above)
E - .01 to 1 (based on if the underdog or favorite won and how close in rank they were)
W - starts at .5 on day one of a new tournament and grows to 1 on the last day of the tournament
O - offset starts at 1 when same clans play against each other for the first time on a day, second match it is .9, third match it is .8, etc... After 10 matches against similar clans it is .1 and stays at .1
*Note: K can be set in the control panel, and how many times clans may play each other in one day can be set in the control panel as well.
